Hospice

Hospice care is covered by Medicare, most private insurance plans, HMOs and other managed care organizations. We rely on the generosity of others through United Way, the Combined Federal Campaign designated donations, and memorials. These gifts are used to help defray the costs of those patients who do not have the financial resources to pay for hospice services.

The YOU&I annual employee campaign identifies a need and is funded by INTEGRIS employee donations. Since 2012 the Hospice Passion Projects have funded playground, equipment, pergola and outside furniture at the INTEGRIS Hospice House, patient room furniture, baby crib and patient bathroom remodeling. Our generous INTEGRIS employees continue to support the INTEGRIS Hospice program in so many ways. Below is the 2019 YOU&I Passion Project for INTEGRIS Hospice.

Project Spotlight

Sometimes the patient’s family and /or caregivers are overwhelmed and need additional care-giving support. The time that can be most overwhelming for caregivers is either at the beginning of the hospice admission or in the final hours of life. Many families today only have a caregiver that may be an elderly spouse with no additional extended family support. With the money raised hospice will be able to utilize a private sitter for these critical times.

These sitters would offer additional emotional support but would not replace the hospice services provided by our staff and volunteers. This will provide invaluable relief and support to these families who are stressed and burdened with the day to day care giving and especially at the end of life. Often caregivers can be isolated from others and this provides them additional support or allows them to have a break.
